Small-lot coffee, roasted every Tuesday in Portland.
Ember & Oak started in 2019 with a secondhand drum roaster in a garage on Division Street and one rule: roast light enough that every coffee tastes like where it came from.
We buy from twelve farms in six countries, most of them families we have visited and cupped with. We pay well above the Fair Trade minimum because good coffee is hard work, and we print the farm's name on every bag.
We roast every Tuesday, cup every batch on Wednesday morning, and ship by Thursday. If a batch isn't right, it doesn't leave the building.
